Healing in Our Times Project 2016
This project is a resource list & mini-directory of low-cost, affordable, and/or sliding scale holistic services which center the needs & healing pathways of people of color. This was birthed in 2016, so I implore you to do your research & vetting for each entry as times have changed.
It is one of my firm beliefs that we need each other. I believe that we have, at our disposal, the tools, the expertise, the magic, and the praxis that we need right now.
So, in 2016, I asked around for resources that
centered Black folks, Brown folks, & POC
were low-cost and / or sliding scale
had the specific knowledge of & ability to serve persons with marginalized or multiply marginalized identities (i.e. race, gender, dis/ability, socioeconomic status & class, sexuality, and more)
I share this mini-directory with gratitude to all who shared queries about this work.
“The Mind”
“The Body”
“The Soul & Spirit”
“The Socioeconomic Reality”
I also share this project with an ongoing & request for donations & additional resources to fund the research & labor costs associated with list updates.
(Note: this is a crowd-sourced list of resources from 2016. so please be sure to check out the individual listings for more information. Use & follow up with the services listed at your discretion. Resources are listed from a variety of geographic locations & remotely when indicated. if you would like to donate toward the project of renewing, updating, & maintaining this list, you can do so here)
